Good morning friends!

Before diving into the material for this week’s newsletter, I wanted to quickly circle back on the last newsletter I sent out where I detailed all of the guardrails and strategies I am putting in place to keep my squirrel brain in check. It’s been three weeks of this new regime and oh my goodness am I seeing a difference! My anxiety levels have dropped significantly and while I still feel progress is slow I also feel so much more in control of the direction I am headed in and my weekly schedule in relation to tasks/priorities. I know (more or less) exactly what needs to be done, my expectations for myself are clear and realistic and, most importantly, committing to a limited number of projects has helped me switch gears from frantic spinning in circles to (mostly) calm and purposeful action. It’s like I’ve taken the pressure off of myself to do and be the million versions of myself I would like to be in order to give myself the space I need to (just) step into this next version of self. Wow, is that a game changer.

All this to say is that sometimes, when we’re spinning in circles inside our minds we can be tempted into thinking the issue runs much deeper than it actually does and that no amount of small action steps will be able to pull ourselves out of the rut we find ourselves in. What I hope I remember for the future is that, in the case of benign, “regular” downs, the little steps truly are the most important ones to take. We are each our own leaders and as we put boundaries for our children we must do so for ourselves.

So. all this to say I highly, highly recommend a read of this installment if you are feeling the need for inspiration/encouragement to apply a similar structure for yourself.

These last few weeks haven’t been terribly exciting. I’ve been playing catch-up on editing and am SO excited to say I have set an official launch date of August 28th!!!! The conversations I’ve recorded so far are absolute GOLD and I really cannot wait to have them out into the world, as nerve-wrecking as it might feel. In today’s installment I’m writing a bit more also about some of the changes I am bringing to the initial concept I first had of the podcast. It’s nothing major but flexibility is so key in business (especially in the early stages) and I’m spilling all the tea on that.

So grab yourself a warm (or cool!) drink and enjoy the read!
